----- MARRIAGE -----

Tucker-Earl

A pretty wedding took place on Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Earl, Rosedale Farm, Logan, when their eldest daughter, Eva Della, was married to Arthur T. Tucker, of Fenella. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Gordon Butt, Methodist minister of the Monkton circuit, in the presence of about one hundred and fifty guests. The bride, who was given away by her father, was becomingly attired in a white canton crepe dress, heavily beaded, with graceful draperies at the side. Her veil of white net beaded with pearls fell from a headdress of orange blossoms and she carried a shower bouquet of ophelia roses and lily of the valley. The wedding march was played by Miss Evelyn Earl, sister of the bride. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a beautiful leather club bag, to the pianist a five-pearl ring. During the signing of the register, the bride’s Sunday School class sang “Blest be the tie that binds.” After the ceremony and congratulations, the wedding party repaired to the dining room, which was tastefully decorated in pink and white, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was served by the Sunday School class. Mr. and Mrs. Tucker left on a motor trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls, the bride travelling in a log cabin grey costume with shoes and wrap to match. Among the out of town guests were friends from Windsor, Fenella, Listowel and Toronto. Previous to her marriage, the bride was presented with a clock by the members of the choir of which she was a valued member. Milverton Sun, July 10, 1925.
