Thomas Adams Mortimer  (1880 ~ 1885)

 

2.3.6. Sixth child of Isabella Ranson and John Mortimer, Thomas Adams Mortimer, was born December 20, 1880, in Anson Twp., Haliburton Co., Ontario.

 

  Thomas A. Mortimer died August 16, 1885, aged 4 years, in Anson Twp., Ontario and is interred at Minden Village Cemetery.

Thomas A. Mortimer

There have been two more regrettable deaths from diphtheria—or rather from—on after the ravages of the disease this week. Two little sons [John and Thomas] of Mr. John Mortimer, Scotch Line, died on Wednesday night, August 16, 1885 after recovering from the disease. The prostration and duration of length being more than they could welcome. There were only a few minutes between the deaths. The entire community will sympathize with Mr. and Mrs. Mortimer in their sad bereavement. There are no other patients in danger, the Burns family being now considered safe.
